LOBOGUARD
PROXMOX DISASTER RECOVERY
No more sleepless nights monitoring your infrastructure. LoboGuard-DR replicates your data between two clusters like a tireless, relentless wolf. If one cluster fails, your entire group survives. Your Proxmox, your data, your decision.
What is LoboGuard-DR
LoboGuard-DR is a secure, advanced, self-hosted disaster recovery solution for Proxmox infrastructures with Ceph storage, which automates RBD replication between two clusters and provides failover orchestration to protect against data loss and split-brain scenarios.
-
Mirroring RBD
Two replication modes: Journal for near-real-time async replication, and Snapshot for scheduled periodic copies. Enable or disable mirroring per VM with a single click.
-
Planned Failover and Failback
Migrate VMs between clusters with zero data loss. The system manages shutdown, sync, demotion, promotion, and boot automatically. All operations are initiated manually, as DR decisions are too critical to automate.
-
Emergency Failover
When a cluster goes down unexpectedly, promote and start all affected VMs on the surviving cluster with a single click. No connectivity to the failed cluster required.
-
Split-Brain Protection
Multi-layer hookscript protection prevents VMs from booting on the wrong cluster. Automatic detection and one-click resolution of dual-primary situations.
-
Monitoring and Alerts
Dashboard with replication status, lag tracking, storage usage, and Ceph health for both clusters. Data refreshes every 30 seconds. Configurable alerts with customizable thresholds.
-
Bidirectional
Failover works in both directions between clusters. Supports multiple Ceph pools simultaneously and distributes rbd-mirror daemons across all nodes for high availability and load balancing.
